Own days, a company which is selling eyeglasses, has started to recruit influencers greedily who have more than 1,500 followers.
Owndays is a Japanese multinational firm which sells eyeglasses and has branches in Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Philippine, Malaysia, Cambodia, Australia, Vietnam and Netherlands as of 2017.
The price of Owndays’ eyeglasses is fixed. Customers can choose ultra thin lenses with no additional fee. And also customers can get the customized eyeglasses in 20 minutes.
Owndays has started to hire influencers and give 500 dollars bonus per month. The criteria of an influencer is a person who has more than 1,500 followers on SNS like Twitter or Instagram. So the company expects the influencers to share this company’s eyeglasses on SNS.
The influencer can omit interviews before final interview, it means, the first interview will be their final interview. Owndays is trying to built environment that influencers account for 10 percent of the whole workforce.
An apparel company TOKYO BASE has also started to recruit influencers. The criteria of an influencer is a person who has 1,000 followers in WEAR or 2,000 followers in Instagram. WEAR is an application developed by START TODAY CO., LTD. running an online apparel store ZOZOTOWN. The influencers are exempted from screening of the documents.
