NTT Docomo, which is a Japanese telecommunications company, unveiled that they has started to discuss about development of a folding smartphone which has 3 screens.
NTT Docomo is the most popular mobile phone operator in Japan. NTT Docomo announced that they will start to sell a Android OS based cell phone which has 2 screens named “M”(Z-01K) from January in 2018. It has two 5.2 inch screens, Snapdragon 821 processor, 4 GB memory and 64 GB storage, which is planed by NTT Docomo and developed with by a Chinese company ZTE. It’s also sold as a Axon M all over the world.
It allows users to see 2 applications at the same time, and also use those two screens as a one screen. Those two screens are equivalent to 6.75 inches. This device has gone viral in Japan.
Two weeks later from the announcement, NTT Docomo also revealed their consideration of the developing a smartphone with three screens. Based on technology used for “M”(Z-01K), they expect that users can have a smartphone which has a big screen like tablet.
Docomo has also announced that they’re going to develop unique product like “M”(Z-01K) every year.
