It is said that Netflix, which is a major video distributor, allocates several tens times more than normal budget for Japanese anime.
Netflix is very popular video distributor all over the world. It distributes TV series, movies and anime created by others. Speaking of Japanese anime, Netflix has been distributing more than 500 anime like “Fate/Apocrypha”, “CYBORG009 CALL OF JUSTICE” and “Little Witch Academia” etc., as of 2017.
In recent years, Netflix has started to create Japanese original video contents by their own. And it is rumored that several tens times budget are allocate especially for Japanese anime. According to Netflix, they doesn’t make it public about the budget but they told that big budgets will be prepared if it deserves.
Netflix had an event “Netflix Anime Slate 2017” focusing on Japanese anime. Netflix showed their new anime movie “BLAME!” and also revealed that they’re going to release many anime from now on. Those anime are listed below.
