A Japanese online flea market provider Mercari announced that they has launched their new service MERCARI NOW from November 27, 2017.
Mercari is an online flea market service which is growing rapidly, following the most popular internet auction service Yahoo! Auction in Japan. The difference between Mercari and Yahoo! Auction is that, buyers in Mercari can buy products on the market whenever they want, sometimes they can also do discount negotiation. On the other hand, Yahoo! Auction is literally a website for an auction, so buyers make a tender and need to wait until the auction ends.
A pawnshop application CASH went viral in October, 2017. CASH allows customers to change their clothes or fashion accessories like shoes, wallets, bags, watches and hats into money immediately. The application guesses the estimate from the categories and conditions customers choose, and the amount of the estimate will be paid in their bank account soon. Later on, the customers are required to send those items to CASH. This new service gained attention and, the company Bank, Inc which launched CASH was bribed by a Japanese company DMM.com in November 2017. DMM.com is a huge company running lots of services like DMM English, DMM Rental, DMM Games, DMM FX and DMM mobile etc.
To counteract a measure against CASH, Mercari launched the similar service MERCARI NOW from November 27, 2017.
