Shingo Katori, Tsuyoshi Kusanagi and Goro Inagaki, who are ex-members of Japanese popular male idol group SMAP dissolved last year, has just started their internet streaming program “72 Hours Honne TV“(Honne means Private Thoughts in Japanese) from 9 p.m. on November 2, 2017 using a internet streaming platform Abema TV.
3 ex-SMAP members has left their previous showbiz agency named Johnny’s agency in last September, and established their own agency CULEN. The previous agency had prohibited activities using the internet strictly, but after the establishment of the new agency, they has started to appear in medias on the internet like Twitter, Instagram and Youtube. They also has opened their official website Atarashii Chizu(New Map). As one of new challenges, they also planed to have their internet streaming program, and it has realized today.
Just after starting the program, they sang a theme song “72” at first. The program set a record of 1,000,000 viewers immediately. And then, they had a opening party at a villa owned by Suzumu Fujita, a president of CyberAgent, Inc. running the service Abema TV. Some celebrities like a Japanese comedian Hikaru Ota, a former politician Toru Hashimoto, a former professional tennis player Kimiko Date, a former ice skater Nobunari Oda, rushed in the party, and a prominent rock singer Eikichi Yazawa sent a video message to them.
In this program, they will have a time with famous Japanese Youtubers like Hikakin, Hajime Shacho and Fischer’s. And also, they will take a lesson about Twitter from a popular singer Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and a comedian So Takei. An actor Takayuki Yamada will teach how to use Instagram, the most famous Kabuki actor Ebizo Ichikawa will also appear.
The president of CyberAgent, Susumu Fujita, hopes that the program will be internationally trend.
